History & Significance
Lollapalooza was created in 1991 by Jane's Addiction frontman Perry Farrell as a farewell tour. It became a touring festival through the 1990s and has been held annually in Chicago's Grant Park since 2005. The festival has since expanded to international editions in South America, Europe, and Asia.
